89' Wrangler lockplate snap ring

Need to replace the key/lock cylinder housing. Manual says to replace the lockplate snap ring. Been unable to find one. The Dealer no longer cares them and the manual does not give any specs on it's size. Lots of companies sell snap rings, however the jeep is my only ride. Don't want to pull the steering wheel and size the ring and wait to receive new one. Anyone have Info on this problem? Thank.

I re-used mine, I suspect few of us actually replace them unless we lose 'em or break 'em.

Thanks. I hope to reuse mine. My fear is that it will break or fly off and be eaten by the garage. It's a small item, couldn't be expensive, would like to have a spare just in case. Hate to have the jeep down because of a petty item. Would be great to have the specs on the ring.
