89 YJ w/2.5L exchange w/97 2.5L rebuilt engine??

My '89 2.5L is either needing to be rebuilt or replaced. I am leaning toward replacing it. I have located a '97 2.5L rebuilt engine with wiring harness.
Any Pro's and Con's?
Is there going to be alot of modifications?
I am not much of a mechanic, maybe shade tree at best, this would be my first time to even think of doing an engine swap and I would really appreciate any advise on what I might be getting myself into and what I am going up against.
Thanks in advance for any advise you may have!

You really just need to use the long block from the 97 and the rest of yours.

i agree with IBUILDEMBIG. use the long block. you said you are a shade tree mechanic at best. you will be going from a carberated engine to a fuel injected engine. not to hard to do, but with your mechanicle skills could be pretty challeging
