90' Engine Rebuild

I'm starting to panic. My goal is to have my 4.2 (90, YJ) rebuilt and remove all emissions junk. I've read I can go to an HEI distributor and Motorcraft 2150 carb and I don't need the computor, ICM, or most of the emmissions sensors, etc., I go to O'Reilly and they know nothing unless I have part #'s. Since then I looked on EBAY and found suppliers but I'm unsure of what I am specifically to order. Can anyone help? Some of my questions: Does a 2150 bolt right on the intake or do I need special adaptors/gaskets. Do they come with the carb? Do I have to modify the linkage? Can the old air cleaner be used (PCV and vacuum doors for heated air, etc.). Can I eliminate the EGR tube between manifolds since all the other EGR parts will b eliminated? Thanks for any help!

heres a thread on installing the carb, it should answer your questions

How to install Motorcraft 2100 in 258 jeep (detail - Off-Road Forums & Discussion Groups

it up to you on if you want to run the EGR, it will work after the carb swap but many get rid of it.

CRT performance makes a good HEI, you can find them on ebay or their website, you will need the spark plug wires too.

Ehrmannmp is the eBay user you want. I just picked up a carb and everything I needed from him. He makes things very easy and gives many options for what you can buy with it. Search him and check out one of his auctions and it will answer your questions.
