90 Wrangler no rear shocks

Hi everyone! Just picked up a new wrangler and i noticed the read upper shock mounts were rusted off. Its lifted 5 inches. Im wondering...can i run my jeep as an around town vehicle without the rear shocks or no? And if not anybody know any cheap rear upper shock mounts?

Yeah well it is your Jeep and it probably won't do any severe damage. Take a look at Qtec or Morris 4X4, Extreme Terrain for some mounts and then find someone with a welder.

89 2.5 TBI, 4" RC lift, 1" Booms, SYE, Adams Driveshafts front and rear, Ford 8.8 with 4:88s, BFG 33X12.50X15, and a ton of other stuff.

I had an old Isuzu Trooper that cracked a rear shock mount for the driver's side leaf spring. Upper mount still attached, but about ready to completely snap off. It was driveable with the cracked mount, but the resultant handling was not really predictable. Lots of bouncing and rolling in the rear.

No shocks at all in the rear? It'll handle like a stagecoach. I suspect a really high risk of rollover, even at in-town speeds. I wouldn't dare take it on the highway.
