91 yj 4.0 where is temp sending unit

I have found some threads saying this is on the firewall side if the head. I don't see it there can anyone zero me In a bit closer? Did you get to it from the underside or topside? I just don't see it

The temp sending switch is on the back side of the head near the firewall.

It's on the drivers side, on the very back top of the head sets next to the lip on the valve cover. It's hard to find because it's under a bundle of wires, has one wire (believe the wire is purple). Not too hard to get to once you find it.

my temp gauge didnt work so i figured i had screwed something up when i went to a cj dash. Turns out it was unplugged, thanks for the info on location. I'm an idiot. lol

Found it! I must have bumped it and unplugged it when I was doing the valve cover gaskr let! It works now. My boy has been driving this project for a month now. We are actually getting somewhere.
