Exclamation 91 YJ, clunking noise only in 4H and 4L?

SO im having this problem with my 4WD ever time i engage it and start moving, forward or reverse i get this really load clunking knock and it sounds and feels like my drive-train is about to explode i really need some help

If its just a 1-time clunk I would say that its in your CAD. If it is constant after you engage 4wd then its probably a bad u-joint on the front drive shaft.

'87 YJ, 4.2L built and bored, 8.5" of lift, 8.8 rear, AX15/NP 231, Tom Woods drive shafts, Flat fenders, 12,000LB winch, Custom bumpers, Rattle can paint job. Never completed...

one way to know would be to put the t-case into 4wd and move. if you hear it start clunking then yeah its most likely a u joint. then again, getting under there and checking the drive shaft for play will tell you the same thing.
