'91 YJ Renegade Decor Package Replacement Parts!

Ok, so I was wondering if there are any Renegade people out there that can help me with this. I have a '91 YJ with the Renegade Decor package, and it is missing a pad on the right side step! And I cant find anywhere that sells extra replacement parts for a side step that comes on the Renegade package! Does anyone know where I can get this replacement part? I am working really hard on this Jeep to make it really nice, a lot of sweat (and $$) going into it, but I also can't pay an arm and a leg for a side step pad (cause on a 16 yr. old's salary... you know what I mean) and I have a lot of work to do on it still, besides that. So I was wondering if you know where to get a replacement, and for pretty cheap?? Well, either way, thanks a lot!

There are no companys that make replacement parts for the Renegades, the only way to get parts for them is to find them used. Are you looking for anything besides the step pad? Cuz I may be able to help.

I had the same need when I bought my jeep renegade Decor Package used. It was missing both pads but the seller gave me one broken. I tried salvage yards and ebay with no luck. In my area there's a shop that makes rubber gaskets, they had 1/2" rubber with adhesive on the back. Cost me $6 bucks with enough to make two. Traced the broken one onto the rubber and cut. It worked out great. Hope there’s a shop in your town.

BlkRenegade, just lookin for the step pads... although my passenger side front panel is cracked at the fog light, so may be looking for a replacement if I decide I can't fix it in the future...

No such place, we're on our own. That's the downside of owning such a unique vehicle.

I know it will be tough on a 16YO salary, but perhaps you can enlist parental sponsorship.
Perhaps you can locate a wrecked or non-running Renegade. Purchase it (that's where parental sponsorship comes in) and take what you need and sell the rest. Pay back your parents first as you sell parts. In doing this you will become a businessman and learn responsability.
There is a yellow one for sale on the Denver CraigsList. Although it is a whole and driveable car ($5280.00) , you might contact the seller and ask if he has any left over spare parts.
Good Luck, L.M.

Some people remove those pieces so you might be able to find them on eBay or Craigslist

As I tore into my 91 Renegade I noticed that on the passenger side step, there is a piece of styrofoam underneath the plastic step but it was not on the divers side. Is this something from the factory or is this just an after market piece to make up for it bending from rust?

OP, how do you get over 5000 views? There can't be that many Renegades left.
Just curious.
Good Luck, L.M.

Because despite all the naysayers who claim to "hate" the Renegade look, they're really all envious of us Rene owners. Come on Jeep owners, come out of the closet and admit the Rene is awesome! You know you want one!
