92 yj 4.0 ho rough idle sputters no power

It's real late right now so I'll look at it tomorrow. Just left My girlfriends house the whole way home it sputtered and cut out like somethin awful. Didn't really sound like it wanted to die though. Hit the gas no power. Couldn't hardly feel any acceleration at all. It's not really driveable and its My DD. Its idling between 950-1000 rpm. I just traded My xj for this. Plug wires look fairly new. Maybe fuel filter, IAC, TBS maybe injectors. Not really sure at all yet. If anybody has any thoughts or ideas I'd really appreciate it.

Start with the easy things first - spark at each cylinder ect. I have made the mistake in the past doing all kinds of tests before checking wire connections, fuses, water in fuel, only to find I over diagnosed it from the start. Is the check engine light on ?

My 1990 yj 2.5 did the same thing. It was my fuel pickup.

Could be a lot of things. I would be real careful. Mine was acting like that and it was running lean for a reason I still havent fully diagnosed. I think its the o2. Anyway, ran lean, got hot, cracked header and blown headgasket... Keep an eye on your header. If it starts looking too hot stop whatever your doing...lol. Mine was glowing before I realized I was looking at a bright orange header, not the oil filter.lol. Wrong side hahahaha

Got it figured out. I could hear the fuel pump comin on. It was idling ware it should. Checked fire to cylinders. All were good. Started with the fuel filter. Replaced it. Then it would turn over at all. It was tryin but couldn't. Hose was pinched on filter. It turned over but wouldn't idle at all. Put a new IAC in it. Runnin perfect now. I got back home after taking it for a spin. I found a nice little surprise. There's a nail in My tire. Just great. Just glad she's back to runnin right.
