YJPunisher213,

Sorry to hear about your door latch trouble. I've been there and know what a headache that can be.

Have you checked to make sure that everything with the linkage is adjusted up right? That there is no play or run out in any parts of that set up? If you can try to have someone on the out side try to turn the lock and look from the inside to see if you can see whats loose or not moving.

Hope that helps some. Let me know if there anything I can do. Be sure to post what the problem ends up being. Good Luck!

Thats what l dont understand. 2 months ago l did my annual lube and inspect for the doors when l seal my top for the winter. Everything was and still is tight and moving freely except the claws that latch the door closed.

I had the same problem. I ended up taking the latch loose from the body and then removing the door to gain enough access to play with the latch and then magically it opened. I tried to decide how I could have released it but the mechanism is blind such that you can not gain access with the latch installed in the door.
