Thumbs up 93 auto no spark?

Just bought a jeep off of a buddy... jeep has not started after he attempted to pull the alarm out. its a 4.0 auto. it turns over just fine and has fuel pressure. Had a buddy look at it and thinks its not getting spark. could the ripped out alarm still be affecting this or do you think it could be a coil problem or am i in need of a new brain? Thanks!

something most likely isn't connected from removing alarm. i'd go real thorough over all connections, and grounds.

i did that today.everything looks like its connected back to normal. the only thing i can think of is if there is a kill switch somewhere from the alarm. i cant seem to find anything like that tho. it would help if i had a wiring diagram.

that is an indicator of iginition switch problems. look into the switch. if it worked when you went to take the alarm off, and didn't work right after, something went wrong there. most likely something not connected. i can't see anything getting fried, unless wires were spliced and got shorted. good luck and let us konw.

its possible, but most likely something simpler. when you first turn the key on, does the check engine light come on for a few seconds? if not it sounds like something with the switch.

UPDATE...re-checked all wires and grounds... clean all fuses.. i got my indicator lights to come on(seat belt light , buzzer, and brake light) brake light stays light when cranking over. went back out side to try to run the self diagnostic test(on off on off...) didnt work.. then the indicator lights went out.. jiggled the key and they came back on.. does this sound familiar to anyone? also, my buddy was saying something about the kill switch from the alarm. since i know nothing about alarms.. where would this be and how would i disengage it? thanks for all your help btx!!

BTW i have tried hot wiring it with no luck.. does the same thing just turns and turns and turn... if the switch was bad it would still start by hot wiring it right?

not sure, maybe not, when the switch goes bad it usually isn't sending the signal to the pcm. its sending the signal to the starter just fine.

replaced the ignition switch.. still no spark. getting the brain tested on monday.. will let you know how it turns out.. btw, anyone looking to install a new ignition switch, you do not have to take the steering column apart, all you have to do is drop it. could of saved my self 2 hrs of work... had to bathe in gojo after 5 hours of wrenching. also, my gas from the fuel rail smells like turpintine. and im not getting much pressure from the fuel rail... im also not getting any power to the ignition coil... im suspecting the brain... anyone?

No I did not get it tested first, I did some research and read reviews about the guy, and they where good. So I jumped in with both feet and bid on it. He sold alot of Jeep stuff, I forgot the name of the gut selling them as it was 2 years ago. I just typed in Jeep computers and his site came up.
