Red face 93 jeep YJ; needs body bushings

Ok, so I'm working on buying a 93 YJ. It seems in pretty good condition for its age, 135k miles. It's got a 3" lift, and needs body bushings. I've done a little tinkering here and there, but nothing as involved as this. I'm looking for help with the following:
1-How much are the parts?
2-How much work is this going to be?
3-Is it something I should find a mechanic for?
4-MOST importantly; is this investment worth it for $2k?

Provided its not rusty its a piece of cake....you can get bushing kits for around 100 bucks I think. All you need is a jack and a block of wood. You should be able to do it in an afternoon.

unless u are missing some, it will most likely not be a noticable difference. a lot of people with there crazy rock crawlers actually weld the body to the frame

Wait, it has a 3" body lift? If it does I would seriously consider lowering it. 3" body lifts are actually kinda dangerous. The put a whole lot more stress on the mounting bolts and there have been cases during wheeling where the bolts have sheered from the stress and the tub just slides right off the frame.

A BL is one of the easiest mods you can do for a Jeep. Though I personally would couple it with an equivalent motor mount lift. That way you don't have to worry about notching your fan shroud, or tub for the gearshift.

But as stated above you can get a body lift for about $100. I'd personally not go over 1.5". If you absolutely have to have a 3" lift (can't imagine why) then I'd definitely be using grade 8 bolts to secure it.
