94 Tail light malfuction

Quick question for an odd problem. My left tail light was completely burned out. So I put in new bulbs on both sides. After putting the new bulbs in the left side tail light still doesnt light when the headlights/parking lights are on. It lights bright and clear with brakes, turn signal, and hazards. Any ideas? I appreciate any help.

Break out the tester and see where you do and don't have current. It could be a bad bulb out of the box. It could be chafed wires. I doubt it is a fuse, as I don't think they'd separately fuse left and right lights.

You could just try swapping the bulb with the other

Good luck, and follow up with a post on the solution.

Wasnt the bulb, though I did buy new ones to replace the cheaptastic ones I bought to start just to fix it and avoid a ticket. It seems the sockets connectors are spring loaded. The springs are going on 16 yrs old and didnt want to come up to make a connection. So some rubbing alcohol to clean it out and a little socket grease Seems to have it back up and working properly. Lets hope it holds out I doubt they sell the socket buy its self and I have no desire to buy a whole new assembly atm. Thanks for the imput and I hope this helps some else along the line
