94 Wrangler strange trouble code

Newbie here.

A few weeks ago I bought my first jeep after years of wanting one. I have a 94 with the 2.5. The check engine light was on. The guy said he had the code read and it needed a new EGR valve. After some research, I find out that it doesn't even have an EGR valve or a PCV valve. I read on the forum how to check the code. I am getting a 35 for "An open or shorted condition detected in the radiator fan relay circuit". It doesn't have an electric fan. Anyone have any ideas?

you are right. I just went out and did it again.. codes came back 12, 51 and 55. Start with the O2 sensor first?

I don't see a 12. Check the flashes one more time. 55 is end of codes so you only have 2 there, 12? And 51. 22 is coolant temperature sensor or circuit. Start with the easiest one first. Could just be a wire.

I don't know anything about the code deal, but my check engine light kept coming on when I was wheelin or idling for awhile so I just replaced the O2 sensor...no more check engine light. May help...may not but it is cheap

I have been researching the codes because my 95 YJ is dead will turn but like it has no fire. I smell gas but getting no spark. I have replaced the ignition coil and CPS switch and still doing the same thing. I am getting 12 & 54 codes. Manual says the 12 is indication of battery cable being taken off and put back on.

The check engine light will turn on for a few seconds, then turn off, then start flashing. The flashes are counting out 2-digit trouble codes. Fast flashes count up each digit, with a longer pause between digits. On TJ's with a digital odometer, the code numbers are printed on the odometer in addition to flashing the check engine light. 55 indicates the end of all codes. Once you've got your code list, consult the table below to see what they mean.

I have trouble code 12 too!! Does it really mean that about the battery cable?? Actually now that I think about it.. on the positive side, the thing that goes around the terminal is broken and keeps slipping up and down the teminal...could that b why I'm getting that code??
What manual are you using?
I have a Haynes and I can't find any codes in it!
