94 yj 4.0 hesitation problem

What's up everyone. I'm new to the forum and hoping someone can help me. I got my yj back in July its a 94 4.0L. its been great for me until a week ago when it started acting up. The jeep idles fine but once you press the throttle the rpms will drop close to zero it almost stalls then catches up to where it should be. It does it any time you press the gas doesn't matter if you are in 1st or 5th gear. Ive already changed the fuel filter, plugs, wires, distributor, checked the injectors they seem fine, good pressure to the fuel rail so I don't think the fuel pump is bad. I am really clueless from here the only other thing I can think of is maybe the o2 sensor. If somebody can help me id really appreciate it. Thanks everyone and happy jeeping

How about checking the CAT and see if it is plugged up. If you can remove and drive it and see how it performs. They have been know to do exactly this total loss of power.

Located at the end of the throttle body closest to firewall. In line with the throttle shaft
