94 YJ Windshield to Cowl Gasket Replacement

Well i got out this evening and decided to replace the gasket i ordered; been looking at it for about two weeks...was not looking forward to doing it..lol...turned out to be a easy job.....got the new gasket in and it was tight going back up cause of new gasket....used some longer bolts to suck it up to flush then installed factory bolts....the longer bolts to suck it up made the job a cake walk.....took off the bikini top today and going back with the soft top tomorrow; getting ready for some Texas Fall....we need it bad....101 felt like spring today...lol....

get on e-bay and look up jeep windshield to cowl gasket...there you will find Collins Brothers Jeep Parts in Wylie Texas.....they sell OEM gaskets there for 37.83 out the door.....or you can call them direct at www.CBJeep.com/972-442-6189.......found the star sockets at Harbor Freight.....
Jeeps of Texas over in Euless Tx. wanted 150.00 just for the gasket...lol...plus two hours labor to install.....

I replaced this recently as well, didnt want to, but was trying to fix a mysterious water leak : / . Went pretty smooth for a first time. Good idea on the longer bolts, I just grabbed what was handy at the moment wich was a pair of clamps, stuck part on the roll bar other on the windsheild and clamped it down to where I could get the bolts back in. Unfortunatley it didnt solve my problem though : ( . But it looks better : D haha. I got my seal from jeep morris 4x4 center for 24.99 and sometimes they will give you 5% off if you spend a certain amount which is nice.

You may need to change your door seals to solve your leak issue.

I recently discovered it is definitely coming through the hood vent, unclogged the hose connected to the vent that water drains from under the hood...i dunno how or where its getting in but it comes in right behind my radio, heater, luckily I havent had any electrical issues yet. The door seals do need replaced though cuz there is nothing left of them haha, havent noticed any problems with that yet though haha.

Man I put my soft top back on and it just wrecked the ride...lol....ran my a/c yesterday and it ran fine for a while, then about every 15 minutes the air would go warm for about 30 sec. then back cool again.....Beats me on this one....might be the compressor clutch kicking out every once in a while....it sure does time itself good thou....lol....i could care less about the a/c to honest with you....
Then I found out my YJ has damn CJ doors on it....hell of a fit..lol....I got my eye on some E-Bay doors right now.....Wished I lived where I could run a Bikini top year round....

Sounds like your a/c is low on refrigerant. There is a low pressure switch on the compressor to protect it. The compressor will kick on when the pressures are equalized and cut off when it runs for a while and the suction pressure gets low.
