Arrow 94YJ mechanic overhaul help

Streight to the point,o the point, I want my YJ running like new. It's a 4cyl 5 speed, 33" tires. I do believe the transmition has been regeared only because it's smooth and tops out after the shift light is out. Without wining. Iv done a standard tune-up. And replaced the master cylendar.
- I want to pretty much overhaul the darn thing get it up to date
*spits oil from dipstick every now and then.
*consitering I'm running 33"s I'd like break upgrades.
*rattles at 2k RPM's(beleaved to be catilatic converter).
*seems to always be wet under trany(a drip bubble)

-I'm pretty noob at mechanic work period.
-----help please
Where to start and all that

I found a cd with Jeep factory service manual on ebay for 10 bux with free shipping. The copy is good and everything is ledgible, just print out the page you need and take it into garage with you. Keeps manual from getting filthy, I have the printed factory one also. It's dog eared and filthy.....like my jeep.
