95 bad heater core w/ac

Grandsons 95 yj has antifreeze in the floorboard. I'm guessing bad heater core. Looks to me that the AC unit will have to come out to be able for the heater assy to come out. Anyone changed the heater core with AC?

The FSm does not make any mention of AC being a issue,

I just did my YJ and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Only four screws holding the AC vent/control panel on. Once that was out of the way it was pretty simple. Got my core from Auto Zone for $39.

Did you have to take the frig lines off, or just drop the a/c unit down out of the way?

I noticed that the heater hoses go from 5/8" to 3/4" hook-ups. Did the same engineer that designed the windshield wipers design this also. I've only had this YJ for about a month, but found years of screw-ups in it.

The heater housing will come out with the A/C laid in the floor. Also 5/8 goodyear heater hose will fit over the 3/4 nipples. About 6 hrs of hard work.
