95 hardtop

Ok, have had my jeep a couple months, just got a hardtop from an 89, tried to put it on, and it seems to lack about 1/2 inch in the middle of the windshied to go down completly, I took off all the hardware from the soft top, Do I need extra hardware? Do I need to force it, Oh, and I have half doors, and they will not match either, do I need to use Full Doors for the Hardtop. I am a newcomer to this, and need the help.............Thanks

u can still use half doors, i have half doors on my hardtop, just gotta get the upper door for a hardtop, and idk about the piece for the top of the windshield, i had the same problem because i switched from soft to hard top but i just went to lowes and bought a thick gasket and put in its place, i actually think it was like some type of insulation for ac hoses or something cause it was about 2 inches in diameter but it works fine

Hmmm, on a soft top there is a track the bolts to the top of the windshield frame that has to come off. Did you take it off? If its a factory jeep top it will need nothing to go on yours as it will sit down on the frame and you screw through the top with self tapping screws into the windshiele frame. Now, you can run half doors, but you will need different uppers and I'm not sure they are made anymore. The best thing to do is get some full hard doors...you will be alot happier with the roll up windows.
