95 wrangler,belt wont stop squeeling!!

1995 wrangler 4 cylinder non A/C.i am a mechanic but this has me stumped and aggravated

i replaced the power steering pump pully with an after market pully a couple weeks ago.it was fine then it just started to squeel.tightened it up,still squeeled.took the idler pully off and it still squeels.replaced the alternator last night.it was quiet for about 10 minutes then started to chirp and began squeeling again.take the belt completely off and it wont make a noise.water pump was replaced 3 months ago.i replaced the belt 3 times in a week thinking maybe i was getting defective belts.belt dressing will quiet it down for 1/2 then it starts doing it again.i cleaned all the pullies with brake parts cleaner and replaced the belt again.only things left that could be causing it are the water pump and power steering pump.

i have no idea what to do here.its driving the owner and myself nuts.could it possibly be the after market power steering pump pully?anybody have a good used factory one they would be willing to sell?any ideas?i dont want to keep throwing parts at it.id rather fix it and be done with it.

thanx for any help

take the belt off and spin the pulleys by hand, you should be able to hear or feel which pulley is messing up or has play in it. are you positive you have the right belt???

3 different belts.they are all correct.i took the idler and water pump pullies off and scuffed them with sand paper and still squeels.i think its the P/S pully.its an after market chinese part.

finally found it.the pulley he got for the power steering pump was defective.got another one and all is good.it was pushing the belt forward enough to cause it to squeel and chew up the belt.wasnt enough to notice unless you looked at it real good.

Congrats. You nailed it in your first post questioning the aftermarket pump pulley.
