95 wrangler door help.

Okay I'm not sure if it's just mine or not but on my door right under the window where it backs to the wonder where you can flap it out (sorry dont know what its called hahah) i have a crack type going down the side its maybe about half inch long?. any idea on why this happens and how i can go about stoping it?

on airplane we "stopdrill". just take a drill bit wider than the crack. drill at the end of the crack. that should stop it. watch it for further travel. if it moves drill again with a little larger drill bit. it should stop cracking with the first stop drill hole. fill hole and crack sand and paint. my 94 did not do that but i dumped the doors any way and went soft top and windows.

oh okay what do i fill it with? I have never done anything like this. It's my first jeep

i'm not a body shop guy but i'd say bondo, metal set or something like that. on aircraft we just sanded and painted so we could watch for future problems. mike

ah okay. I'm just trying to fix up the little things on my jeep till i get my 1976 CJ7 sold. Then ill be able to really work this jeep.

Like I said same crack same spot. The crack has been there for at least 6 years and at least 70k miles. It has not gotten any bigger in that time.
