95 YJ engine swap thoughts

Have a 95 YJ and looking at possible engine swaps. Found a possible doner 89 4.2 auto YJ (dashfire) with an automatic. What do I need to mate it to my 5 spd. (bellhousing, clutch, 500.00 adapter (YUK). Ideas a reasonably affordable way to transplant a 4.0, 4.2, or 350 Chev powerplant into it.

Yes I know trans/transfer wont take a lot more power. Please chime in in the 4.2 carb into the 95 5 speed or other ideas. Thanks

Im guessing you currently have a 2.5? if so a 4.0 would be and easier and more worthwhile swap than a 4.2. Motor mounts will have to change regardless. There are several build threads of 2.5 to 4.0 swaps that cover the wiring and everything on here. To go 350 a lot more changes would need to be made.

350 chevy would cost a lot more to do but it would be sporty..your tranny wouldn't handle it
