I just got a 95 YJ and it started and ran fine until I didn't drive it for a couple days, then it started after cranking for a couple min. I didn't drive it at all for a week or two and it wouldn't start. I read on this forum to turn key on for 5 min and try and that worked and it ran and started for a day and today it won't start again. I recall seeing a post about the ECM being bad, but I haven't been able to find the post again. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
One more note, when I turn the key on the check engine light does come on. Now I am waiting 15-20 min before it will start after sitting for over a day.
Thanks! this is what I was looking for. My check engine light does come on and the fuel pump starts when I turn on the key. I think it may be the fuel pump regulator?
Sorry thought you said it doesn't come on right away. You can rent a fuel pressure gauge to verify youre getting adequate fuel pressure. Any check engine lights?
Thanks again! I printed out the check engine light codes I will test it tonight and see what codes come up. Next I will check fuel pressure.
