Your not any different that I am, I dont have a fab shop or employees to do things for me....just beer Its not hard, I have done them in a weekend before provided the bolts come out. I would SOA it and go 3.73 because you will need deeper gears in the future probably anyway.

And for the front axle do I need a certain type of reverse cut gear set, since it should be high pinion, then should I not change the the angle of the front diff so I don't thrower my caster off and get death wobble?

For shock mount it makes more sense to use box steel. I used 2"x2" box steel and shaped it into a mount. I also took advantage of the extra strength and mounted it high giving me extra clearance. It is way stronger that anything you will buy. I used that with upper shock extensions and it worked perfect. Also, I got the same perches off ebay for $25. They were 7" long.

Nope just get a set for your front axle....correct on not changing the angle, just follow what I did with the protractors and you will be fine

Those are fine for the rear but one of the front ones is supposed to be offset

Yeah, those offset ones are a pain. I took a D30 mount and cut one side off then welded it so it was narrow enough to fit where it needed to go.

Isn't there a hard line that runs all the way across the rear end?

Yes there are actually two hard lines with a junction in the middle for the soft line to come in.

On the plus side, further down the road it will be much easier to install a locker. People who plan on doing lockers buy open tears to save trouble and cash. Lockers aren't that much either.

I don't know where you have been looking. Check out eBay. Maybe $800 for a D44, but not an 8.8.

Hello, Congratulations for Work!

I'm from Brazil, recently acquired a Wrangler YJ 1992 4.0 manual Axle D30 and D35 and I'm buying the parts to make a suspension in SOA.
I wanted to take some questions ....

You are using SYE or CV? Is this really necessary?
Downgraded the t-case?
How was the steering system? I found it very expensive for the High Steer Dana30, I'm trying to find a cheaper solution for this ...
The parts I am using are brand Rough Contry, is a good one?

Congratulations once again apologize for the project and the amount of questions! Here in Brazil, we do not have many Wrangler YJ, so everything is new to me ...

Thank you,
Léo

No sye and never cv for me. Just a 1 inch transfer case drop. Rough country is fine for sourcing parts.

High steer is not needed with a standard SOA.

drop Pitman arm, mine must have had it on it already, cause i have no problem with steering, other than my wheel being 180° off now

Yeah i put that on. The leaf spring hitting the drag link with a drop pitman arm is why i made it a true hugh steer with a rocky road kit.
