So my 95 wrangler has recently started having trouble shifting into first every once in a while. It has also started, at the same time, grinding into 4th and reserve. I've changed the transmission fluid, master, and slave cylinders, land the problem persist. Do you think it's the clutch? I wanted to fix the cheapest possibilities first. If you think it's the clutch, can you recommend where to buy one, and a decent how to write up or video on how to replace it?
Sounds similar to the problem I had a year ago. Didn't like going into first or reverse, not sure about fourth gear though. It ended up being the clutch in my '94 found banger.
I wouldn't know where to get a new clutch though, I just handed it off to my jeep bud and let him fix it, sounded too involved for me.
I had a similar issue but my 4th didnt grind. Changed out everything you did including a new clutch and all is well after a year now. I would get a LUK brand clutch kit. I found mine on amazon for like 85 dollars.
