95 YJ Wiring Mystery

Bought a 95 YJ 4.0 Manual Trans that had been wrecked, have it almost all put back together but can't for the life of me figure out what three wires dangling below the starter in the wring harness that runs to the transmission go to. There are 6 wires running over the top of the transmission from back of the Jeep and they are all attached but where the heck do the other 3 go that come down from below the battery box. They are black with yellow, blue with yellow, and black with orange.

I think it's the wires that should connect to the neutral safety switch but I'll be darned if I can see that switch sensor anywhere sticking out of the AX-15 transmission.

Google Bishko Books. A Factory service Manual on CD is about forty bucks.

The FSM has the most comprehensive wiring diagrams. It will tell you just about everything about your Jeep.

Good Luck, L.M.

You need to be more clear on the color of the wire and the color of the stripe. The color of the wire goes first, then the color of the stripe. For example, the color of the orange wire, is the stripe is black, is orange/black.

Got it figured out, spliced the blue/white and blue/yellow together, and the black/orange to brown/yellow and it's working correctly. Never did figure out if there was supposed to be a plug or connector on the side of the trans but it's not important now.

Thanks to all for trying to assist.
