I just bought some CJ7 doors off craiglist. The guy did not know what year they were off of, but they were cheap so i couldn't pass it up. I need some insight on what im going to have to buy/do to make these CJ7 full doors fight on my YJ. Anything will help, pictures, or parts. Thank you!
Welcome to the site.
It would depend on what top you are running? If a soft top, you will need the correct surrounds to match the curve of the upper corner on the latch side of the door. If you have a hard top.... it too needs to match. When I have my soft top on, the door surrounds have a some what sharp corner. My 1/2 doors match. When I have my hard top on it has a gradual round corner. My full doors will match it. That is what you get when you mix and match tops from different body styles.
Assuming you have a standard CJ/YJ hardtop, they should go on with no issues. You will likely have to adjust the striker pin and hinges on the door to get alignment and fit desired.
I had to remove the striker pin an put a "plate" I made out of scrap in it's place to use the old style cj doors on my 95.
