AC unit sucks power

When my AC is on, my engine sounds like an angry cat growling. Especially when I accelerate.
I have almost no get up and go. Is this normal?
Because other than that, the AC pumps out freezing air.

Is it a 2.5 or 4.0?

Dude embrace your jeep and get rid of the A/C, on a 2.5 it's gonna eat your mpg and power

Here in Texas it gets up to 115 on a regular basis and I never used my ac. Take the doors and windows off and get a bikini top

Mine goes OK with the A/C. Also a 2.5. Not winning any drag races though. I love A/C and freely admit I am soft. Getting old ya know?

I agree you should take that Power ROBING A/C out. Very carefully not losing any of the screws or breaking any of the parts and Box It up and ship it to me down here in Baja. Where it will get the use and respect it deserves.
