adding ac question

Ok I am looking to add AC to my YJ. Is there any vehicles other than another YJ I can pull AC components off that will fit my YJ? A local pick and pull is having a 50 bucks all you can carry tomorrow, so looking to see what all I could get for my YJ.

the YJ evaporator and blower unit is mounted separately under the dash, you won't find it in anything else

the same compressor was used in some years of the cherokee, depending on the year of your YJ

I would be happy just to find a YJ in our local salvage yards.

Well I was looking for something I could get possibly at a junk yard. 50 bucks all you can carry. Yeah I wish I could see a wrangler in a junk yard lol. A guy in another jeep forum said my 2.5 couldn't handle an ac compressor. Is that true or he just bein a smarta$$ bc I have a 2.5?

The cheapest I have seen someone sell a used AC system is about 350. The 2.5 can Handel the AC system. But when on the hwy it would probably help To turn it off.
I have a 2.5 and my friend has a 4.2 and around town driving there is not much difference.

When looking for a ac unit from a junk yard you probably need to make sure it can from a 2.5L. I think there is a small difference.
