Age old question about rust prevention

Hey everyone!

I know this question has likely been asked a MILLION times so if you need to refer me to a different thread, please do - I tried to look and found a few, but I'll throw the question out there anyway:

What is the best product to use to coat my frame for rust prevention?

I have the body off and my frame is not that bad (i.e. no fist-sized holes!). I can actually see some of the original coating on the frame.

I'm looking probably between Por 15 (though I hear it is touchy with following procedure and needs a topcoat) or Eastwood Rust Encapsulator (Is it as durable as Por 15?).

I Googled, but I trust you guys more.

Alot of my friends sanded on off rust they could, rustoleumed the rest, and then undercoated it with that rubber undercoating from any auto store.

I used the Eastwood Textured Rust Encasulator on the center portions of my frame when I replaced my skid plate and nutserts last week. Intend to do the rest soon. Haven't had it on the road yet, but I scratched at it a bit to see if it would hold up...the texture knocks off naturally, but it holds pretty well. I only used the textured because it's supposed to be twice as long lasting as the non-textured, I think they mean the epoxy formula and not due to the texture itself

POR-15 is bound to have more fans as it's been around much longer. The Textured Encapsulator is relatively new. It's discussed more in this thread... http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/unde...st-244198.html
