aghhhh transmission still slipping.

1992 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 automatic 3 speed (32rh)

Had some leaks coming from the transmission, so I dropped it and changed out all the gaskets and seals. Reinstalled transmission now it's slipping more then before. Reverse works great, but when I put it in drive I get very little movement.

Filled to proper level with atf-4 fluid

Any suggestions???

How many miles?
Did it have regular fluid changes?

If it never had its fluid changed that could be the issue. The old fluid was holding it together with all the friction material suspended in the fluid. Hopefully that isn't the problem and someone with more knowledge on the slush boxes will chime in.
