Another be liner thread...

I'm branching off from my build thread because I keep cluttering it up with questions.

Since I haven't put my tub on yet, now is the best time to get it done right for the years of abuse to come.

I plan on using monstaliner on the interior and ditching carpets outright. But what about the underneath of the tub? What do you guys usually do to make them last? Since the tub isn't on the vehicle I can pretty much do anything to it easily. So should I use bed liner underneath too, or will it just inevitably rust away either way? And does the herculiner work ok? If I can I'd like to save a few pennies underneath since I don't care what it looks like, and it shouldn't require the uv resistance that monstaliner features. Basically, is the herculiner junk, or will it hold up to the NY salt thrashing?

I'd really like to prevent what happened to the last tub, my floor disappeared.

Interesting, so you just reapply it every 24 months?

Do you know if monstaliner's chassis saver is any good?

I just used some chassis saver in my monstaliner build, the stuff went on very easily almost like thinned out tar. I have some pictures on my other thread here: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f8/bed-...-244505-3.html

Just from curiosity to see if anyone else is using ACF-50, I started a thread on it here: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f8/magi...-a-248597.html

I used the free quart of Chassis Saver that came with my order of Monstaliner and was really happy with it. Just bought a gallon to do my whole undercarriage.

funny, I've been lurking your thread this whole time. I'm in the middle of a complete build if you wanna check mine. I have my tub off so the chassis saver and monstaliner will be really easy for me.

Definitely go for it then! I was really impressed with the chassis saver. Look up some additional info on it, it basically bonds to the metal that you apply it to and even if bent, it wont (or shouldnt...) flake like paint does which then re-exposes the metal.

Thanks, I read up a lot on both monsta products. I am planning on doing it but I'm doing so much at once, who knows. Pulling parts off one jeep and putting them onto the new frame, pulling body and other parts off of another jeep, and hopefully I get to lining my tub... depends on how much money and time I have left.

I'm doing the underneath for sure, might have to wait for the interior though, even if that means ripping everything out again in a few months
