any know what could be wrong??

my 95 jeep vibrates like crazy and makes a loud humm when driving in gear. runs perfectly fine in nuetral. just replaced the rear-end a month a go, and its been needing a clutch for a while, so there is difficulty shifting. anyone have any ideas what it might be?

Do you have any sort of suspension lift on it?

who did the rear end, sounds like it could be a problem there. put it on jack stands and have a friend run it in gear up to speed, and listen to the pumpkin with a screwdriver. that way you could tell if its in the rear end. if it is you wanna correct it right away, if you fix it quickly you might be able to save it, if not further damage could occur.

unfortanetly i've seen to many rear end jobs fail within the first few months. also check u joints in the rear d shaft.

shake the rear drive shaft and see if you have play in it, if it is vibrating as bad as you say it is it just have 1 to 2 inches of play, depends on how bad the ujoint is. good luck keeps us informed

check your oil level in your transmission sometimes the oil will leak out your drive shaft and cause the humm in gear look for oil under the bed near the shaft
