Maybe your fuel pump relay is sticking. Just a thought.

Search (ecm brain surgery) on here I think you'll find the answer that you need. Sound like the capacitors in the ecm are going bad. Easy fix if you can solder or find a tv or radio repair shop to make the repairs, you can also have a buddy do the ths repairs.

I recently performed the ecm brain surgery on my 95 Yj and it worked perfectly. Easy and cheap fix.

sounds like ECM to me as well. Check engine light should come on when key is turned to on position everytime. DwSutton's movies explain it perfectly

my problem turned out to be the fuel pump relay as i was trying to start it yesterday i heard the clicking and jumped out while it was still clicking and felt my relay i could feel it so i tapped on it it stopped and i jumped in and it fired right up,,i then removed the relay and cleaned it(because there are no auto parts store with in 30 miles of me) and it fired right up this morning with no clicking sound,,,
im sure my ecm need to be addressed as well because of the age of these things and all,,---also want to share i have a hard time knowing where sounds are coming from due to being deaf as a hammer... but i have a decent feel of touch..lol
thanks again for your time of making and posting thses great videos there a huge help for those of us that are mechaniclychallenged..lol
