One question. Why do the down brackets curve to come inside of the springs and not just come strait down?
The brackets bend inside the leaf springs for a couple reasons. Mainly to allow you to mount a support from the bottom of those brackets to the bottom of the frame which is parallel to the ground. The supports apply the pushing force up against the bottom of the frame and prevents the angled brackets from twisting where it bolts through the frame.

Like I mentioned earlier I didn't reinvent the wheel here...I pretty much copied the Meyer Plow setup for a YJ. My cross member is different (obviously) to accept the mount for my Swisher blade.
