It seems a part of my tranny linkage or the tranny cable decided it no longer wanted to be a part of the vehicle. Anyone know what the missing part is called, or has anyone else ran into this problem and fixed it by not buying the a new tranny cable with parts?
it looks like the gear selector, maybe have a buddy move the shifter and watch that cable move, then you know. it looks like it was just snapped in, maybe a clip fell off, try pushing it back on, it should snap in place, but if it came off once, something ain't right, unless something inside the trans is sticking.
looks like cable got worn, and snap fitting is loose. most likely new shifte cable needed.
It should just snap back on. It's the gear selector shifter cable. Take a pair of pliers or use your hands and snap it back on. Then have someone shift through the gears and see if that black lever moves back and forth as he shifts through the gears. If it does you should be good to go. If not your trans is prolly sticking somewhere.
