I dont wanna know what CAN go in them.. I wanna know what YOU run in them!! Lol! I see alot of post of possible fluid options but noone really says what THEY use.. Thanks for everything yall, i just want my new tranny to last a lifetime!
well the fella that wound up puttin my tranny in while i was away put regular ol' 80w90 in it. so yall have the Penz Syncro in the tranny right?(ive heard of a few others with this stuff as well..)what weight is it and where is the best place to get it? what about the transfer case fluid? thanks yall!
Synchromesh. 75/90 simply does not work well for me and this in two different tranmissions, (AX-5). Synchromesh will make you feel like you have a different transmission in, and it really smooths out your shifting.
I haven't tried MT90, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. If it were easier to get, I would have tried it, too. Synchromesh is about 7 bucks a quart and can be purchased locally.
Pennzoil Syncoromesh is it in now!! Drained the 80w90 and it was a tad sparkely
Went to the gas station and can already notice a smoother ride in low gears and great shifting. I need maybe 1/2 qt more (calls for 3.3)might of spilled a lil.. but they only had 3qts.. (Advance Auto) thanks for that tip!
Ill keep an update going on the fluid change, thanks again EVERYONE for your info and advice!
Just an update, the Syncromesh is still by far AMAZING! 1st and 2nd feel better than ever again and the rest are perfect. Smoother than silk shifting and driving. Even torque braking is smoother. Now to decide on diff fluids and transfer case. Thanks everyone for your help.
Wow! I actually looked at it today when i picked up an extra bottle of Penz sycro today. Im thinkin bout Purplin my rear diff. Maybe for the front after i get some of those outer tube seals for my front axle. Water loves my front diff..lol. Oooold axle seals. Dont leak out but leaks in! But just a lil... Lol
