AX15&NP231 from Cherokee
My buddy is looking at doing an AX15 swap. He found an AX15 NP231 combo from a Cherokee that the seller says shifts good, and the TC has an SYE. MY question is for the clocking on the NP231 though. I have heard that if you were to bolt an NP231 from an XJ to a YJ AX15 you would have to drill new holes to adjust it so it is not at an incorrect angle. It was a long time ago I heard this, but never checked to see if it was true. If you get the combo complete from the XJ and swap the Dakota Bellhouse onto it for the 2.5 will everything else be fine? It is not the end of the world if the angle needed to be change, I can do that, but I was curious if other than the belhouse it is just a bolt in swap.
As far as putting an AX15 into a YJ with a 2.5 I go that covered and have already done it myself.
