OK here is a little background story first. My AX5 lost all gears except 4th drop the transmission and crack the case the input shaft is shot. Hunt a few days for a used AX5 no luck so on-line order a new input shaft. Next day quick check of CL and there is one for a 97 300 bucks and a 3.5 hour round trip later and Im the proud new owner of a used AX5. In my rush to get the jeep back on the road and overestimating my own strength one tipped over AX5 later I am the proud new owner of 7 painful stitches and a very smashed pinkie finger.
Fast forward one day still in a rush I get it in splines lined up and all by my self with more or less one hand only to find out that on the drivers side I have a locating pin on the block and one on the corresponding hole in the bell housing. Any ideas on how to get one out without dropping the transmission again.
