Ok so I am about to take a sledge hammer to this thing.
I can not get the stupid little retaining screw that hold the retaining pin in the spyder gears out.
I need to change my carrier because I need higher gears for the tires I want to run.
This is the 3rd axle I have had issue with getting that stupid freaking allen head screw out and by the way it looks like with this DANA 44 front that the ring gears are in the way even if I can get the allen screw out and will prevent the pin from coming out do I need to take the ring off first?
This is a DANA 44 front out of a J truck 1974.
