Axle Rebuild?

I am looking at doing a complete axle rebuild on the HP D30 front of my YJ and I mean everything. My plans are 4.88s, Chromoly shafts, and either a ARB or Electric locker not to mention all of the other stuff like ball joints, seals, and a high steer kit.
I know one of the problems with running 4.88s on a D30 is that the pinion is really small.

So the question is do you think running something from G2 like this is a decent option. Price wise it does not seam to far off from a D30 rebuild.

My plans are to run a 35" tire and this is not a DD but could easily see driving over 300 miles on the road in a single day for trips.
