Hello all! Ive read a couple of threads consisting of axles like what the 4:10 gears do and all that and they would all say to look at a tag on your axle to see what axle you hav in your jeep. Well i hav that tag what do i do where do i look, do i run that tag somewher? If anyone can help pleas let me know thanks!

what are the numbers on the tag?

Also I can almost say for certain if you have a 4cly 5spd stock axle you have 4.11's if you have auto 3.73's... 6cly ranged from 3.07 to 3.73' as a ball park

Dana 35 has round rubber fill plug if that helps... as for the gears, if the gears were changed the tag will not tell you a thing except what was in it.. You have to either turn the tire and count the rotation of the drive shaft or pop the cover and count...

Turning the tire is easier BUT.... Do you know when the gear lube was changed???? I'd drop the cover for fun check out the internals and refill with new 80w90. I'm sure it's 4.10 with the 5spd 4cyl regardless.
