So my BA-10 has a small leak after a 30 min freeway run, Not so much as you'd notice, but I noticed, so time to find it. Was planning on changing the fluid anyway, (FYI 8mm Sq socket for drain plugs off Amazon). So I drop the skid plate (found busted tranny mount, JOY!) and start looking for failed seals etc. nothing, leak seems to be coming from the top of case. Pull the shift boots and go down from the top. LOOKY what I found. PO had all this crap wrapped around the tube so it was only about halfway in.

Got rid of the gunk, teflon tape and whatever else??? Tube now fits all the way in, has a little detent to hold steady, Question is>>>
What can I use to hold it in place and not leak????
I looked in the parts manual for BA10 and all I find is the breather. I was looking for an "O" ring, but don't see any. It looks like there may be a screw that comes in from the side that secures the breather in place. Perhaps you can adapt an "O" ring or some type of silicone or RTV to take up any space between the breather and the breather opening.
I found a parts breakdown from quadratec, no breather listed, where did you find it? Cant find the part anywhere online. Hoping not to have to mickey mouse something in. Obliviously the PO's last attempt didn't work.
Did not see any set screw but I'll take a second look. Thanks for the part number L.M.
Another option would be a thread in hose barb.... if you pack a tap w grease you can thread it without shavings dropping into the transmission.... the grease will capture them
No Screw, put a thin bead of form a gasket at the top, let it cure, seems to be sealing up fine after a few days of use.
I think its time to start a parts list for a tranny / slave swap
