Having some fun trying to get my back seat aligned properly... The PO had welded some pieces of steel over the bottoms of the brackets so they could move the seat back futher, so the back seat was basically flopping around on these home made extenders, not bolted down properly and not locking into the locking clasps.
I ground off the welds, tossed the extensions, wire brushed the brackets and painted them black. Now they look great, but.... I still can't get the seat to line up with the locking parts on the side. I don't know if the brackets are the right way round, and even if I flipped them that doesn't solve the locking part.
This is how mine is installed (photo is from before I removed and fixed the mounting brackets.) You can see how the whole seat is over to the left too far as well, so when the seat comes down, not only do the locking pins not line up with the locking clasps, but the left locking pin in scraping along side of the wheel well. The brackets are now mounted in alignment with the holes in the tub so that part (I'm assuming) is right.
Can someone with a 95 Sahara model of the YJ post some photos of how their back seat is mounted? It would be greatly appreciated!
