Has anyone bedlined their frame. I am in the process of rust repair on the frame of my 94. I am considering lining the entire frame with Monstaliner. I figure if I sand it down, base coat is with chassis paint, and then line it I should never have any rust problems again. What are your thoughts?
Don't use Herculiner! used that on my interior and it sucks. monster liner on the other hand seems pretty strong. my buddy used it to paint his jeep and he threw a wrench at it and it didn't do anything. he sanded it primed it, then sanded again if your frame was bare. id have it sent out to be sand blasted and power coated.
X2. Chassis paint is made more for the grime and crap you encounter on the road. It protects the metal and prevents future rust better then anything else you will find just because that is what it was designed to do from the start. It will also stay cleaner and hold less dirt since chassis paint is smooth. Bedliner is great, but it holds the dirt in the texture quite a bit more.

Scrapping this idea....and the original frame. A prior owner covered up some serious rot with SHEET metal and undercoating. While taking the front bumper off I noticed the the front frame horns had rotted where the bumper bolts on. It was not visible until the bumper was off. I am gonna just replace the entire frame. Now...I just have to find a suitable frame.
I wire wheeled my frame and sprayed it with rustoleum bed liner paint while I had it apart putting on Zone lift. Turned out really good. Rustoleum doesn't have as rough of a finish as some bedliner kits.
I have some questions for you guys that have coated your frames. I'm really interested in doing mine too because it's in good shape and I want to keep it that way, but I'm not going to take my body off the frame or anything. So what do I do with all the lines running back the frame and stuff? Do I coat over it all?
And I'm going to go with the three step por15 proccess
I coated mine(rustoleum bedliner) just to make it look better. I worked on it last night and the bedliner paint had rust showing through. It hasnt seen road since coated. Im not sure why it doesn't look as good as it did...bummed.
