Bell housing question

Hey gang. Going to be pulling the ax-15 out of my 93 Wrangler soon to replace it. I know it has the pos internal slave cylinder on the clutch ( which I am replacing also ). What all do I need to update this to the bell housing with the external slave cylinder. All help would be appreciated

Thanks

Should just need the housing from an earlier Jeep that came with the external. Then the external slave with mounting hardware.

They changed to external in 93 me thinks. Guess you got one of the earlier models? I had the opportunity to change out mine when I bought an AX5 transmission from a 2000 but over a concern about getting it back together quickly, I used the bell housing from the original transmission. I never checked if the bolt pattern on the 2000 would mate to the engine.

You will need a different nose cone on the front of the AX15, they are different between internal and external slaves.

A different throw out bearing and the fork that it rides on.

A different clutch master cylinder, and the line. The stroke on the master has to match the slave and they are different.

And the external slave bell housing.

^^ And thus the reason I just put my internal back on rather than mess with the bell housing off of the newer transmission.
