best way to find TDC on cyl. 1...90 yj...4.2

Need to check timing...easiest way to check TDC on cylinder 1??

Take #1 plug out. Remove distributor cap and turn motor over with socket at crank bolt until at # one at distributor. Should be tdc there. Look in spark plug hole to see piston at tdc.

Just look at the timing mark on the Harmonic Balance and line it up with the TDC mark on the timing chain cover.
Judging from ALL the post You have asked on here you should take your Heep to someone who KNOWS SOMETHING about an engine BEFORE You Cost Your Shelf a Lots More Money than it needs to fix what ever is wrong with it!
