Blower motor running without resistor.

Hi all!

I just picked up an '87 Wrangler and I've been working out some bugs. I had heat but no blower. I assumed it was the resistor but the resistor tests fine. I checked the switch and it's fine.

I checked the blower motor and what do you know it's disconnected. I found a wire that looks like it went to it and plugged it in. Shazzam! blower motor is running! (sounds like a rodent is in it but it runs.)

So here's the thing. It's running constantly. Even if I remove the resistor it keeps running. Which definately should not be the case. I either have it plugged into something it shouldn't be plugged into or there is some other deal going on here. I don't know, but I'm hoping some of you folks might.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. It's been cool the last couple of nights and some powered heat would be nice.

Thanks!

Chris

The blower will run on high speed only without the resistor plugged in... The resister is only needed for the slower speeds..
