body mounts!

Hey gang,

Just wondering if you guys have experienced rusty body mount bolts, and what you did to get rid of them. I took off all the old bolts yesterday because i have new bushings coming in today, but out of the 11 bolts, 2 snapped in half, and one broke the receiver piece loose ( i think... front driver side). I was thinking of sending back the bushings to replace with a 1" BL since it comes with new bolts and everything, as opposed to just the bushings. Anybody have any advice/ recommendations for me?

i was thinking of drilling out the one that broke the receiver loose, and just through bolting it with a big washer and nut on that side, and just hoping to drill out the 2 that broke if i can't get to them... what do you guys think? thanks

- Carlos

Most of the body lift kits sit on top of the stock body bushings. When I went to change out the body mounts on my YJ, I ended up replacing the metal sleeves as well. Another $77 to the dealer!

i say no body lift, just replace it with the regular bolts, and use your new bushihngs. the nut and bolt on the one is fine. i hate body lifts.just one guys opinion.
