Brake booster sensor

Okay everybody so im in the process of replacing my brake booster and i ran across a problem, i have a replacement one but the master cylinder os stuck to the booster. So i was looking at ones online and they dont have the sensor that plugs into the rod that hooks to the brake pedal...what do i do? Is the sensor important? Can i bypass it and put one in without a sensor plug
