Ok guys, I need some serious help here. Im finishing up my 350 swap in a 92YJ that used to be a manual 2.5 and in the midst of it, I rewired the entire jeep. Thats right, since I went carb, I took out every wire thats not needed.

I bought a universal 8 circuit harness for the
-headlights/tail lights
-fuel pump
-2 aux
-brake light

Ive got everything working EXCEPT my brake lights when I touch the pedal. Can someone please point me in the right direction. From what the diagram says below, I put 12v to the pink wire and made sure the ground is properly grounded. Use the volt tester and not getting 12v to anything when pedal is pressed.

See diagram

Any ideas?

Did you check the bulbs? Seems like everything else is in order.
nvm, you aren`t getting any power to the wire itself it sounds like.

Yea, I replaced the bulbs. The turn signals and brake lights work off the same bulb from what I understand. Both turn signals work, just cant get the dang lights to light up when brakes are applied.

Any other ideas?

Yeah you might have baught blinker bulbs when you need the 3 way bulbs or whatever you wanna call them
Mine: 1987 YJ 4.2 5spd soft top
98% of people when they are about to go into the ditch say "oh shit!" The other 2% are Minnesotans and when we are about to go into a ditch we say "Hold my beer and watch this shit!"

Well i got the right number out of the book in the parts store... to add, when I put a constant hot to the wires that go to the back (gray/blk & brown/green) the brake lights light up. Thats how I know the brake lights work.

When I hit the turn signal switch on the column, it blinks left, it blinks right...

When I run the constant hot to the brake light switch... the only hot wire according to the volt meter is the one that is the pink is the one that is hot. Even when I tap the pedal.
